LOVE, Sex & Liturgy
You'll Never Be Bored at Mass Again!

Most Catholics understand the Mass as both a shared communion meal and the ever-present sacrifice of Calvary, but very few people know why Jesus’ eternal, once-for-all sacrifice was really necessary. From ancient love stories to modern fairy tales, the answer is evident: The Bride was in need of rescue! At the heart of every Mass is the romance between Christ and His Bride, the bridge between the shared meal with her and the sacrifice to save her. Drawing from Scripture’s spousal analogy, Rose shares the Seven Stages of Divine Romance that are found our relationships but also at every Eucharistic celebration. This presentation will surprise and delight anyone who still complains that the “Mass is boring”.

Vampire LOVE
Are You Sucking Your Loved Ones Dry?

Dracula had nothing on some of the ways we “love” each other today. Where Christ gives his blood so we can live, the "vampires" in our life suck our blood to they can live! Do you know anyone who has shamed, guilted, embarrassed, bullied, or wounded you in the name of love? Do you have a spouse, friends or relatives who are sucking the life out of you? This session is fun but focused, using the Dracula story to identify the ways even we might be becoming creatures of the night, and looking to Christ for freedom!

When LOVE Fails
Healing Your Broken Heart

Scripture tells us “Love never fails” but that's not what it feels like when a relationship ends, be it with a family member, in a romance, a friendship, or a marriage. Drawing from her work over the last decade with thousands of divorced and separated men and women, and her published books on the topic (A Woman's Guide to Healing the Heartbreak of Divorce and Healing the Divorced Heart, a Devotional), Rose shares intimately about her own failed loves and how through it all God drew her heart more deeply into His. This session will help to identify what real love is, how to recognize its counterfeit, and how to close up once and for all the gushing wounds of any broken heart.

Still Looking for LOVE?
Just For Singles

Limbo seems an old Catholic word, but it aptly describes where many singles feel they are stuck nowadays. How do you find love, and the joy and contentment it promises to bring, when you are not sure you’ll ever get another date . . . much less get married? From her work with singles for the last decade and referencing her book, Dear God Send Me a Soul Mate, Rose goes for the answers to the Old Testament Story of Isaac and Rebekah. By also sharing her own funny and touching tales of being single, Rose will encourage and inspire the single heart of any age.

LOVE is a GIFT, But . . .
One Size Does NOT Fit All!

In Pope John Paul II’s revolutionary work on love, Theology of the Body, he reminds us that we find our ultimate pleasure and purpose in life when we live as Christ did: as a sincere gift to another. But how often has someone given you a gift that was something they wanted . . .not what you wanted at all? Sadly, we don’t realize how often in our relationships we are giving "fruitcakes" and "neck ties" to those we love. This session, relaying on timeless Catholic teachings of the temperaments, will help you quickly identify how to give love in four basic ways that will please all of the different people and personalities (spouses, children, friends, family bosses, coworkers) in your life.

LOVE After Divorce (Divorce Rx)
Recovering Your Peace, Power and Passion

This presentation can range from a single talk to a weekend retreat and follows a medical analogy that divorce is much like an "emotional heart attack". Like cardiac patients, some victims of divorce had early warning signs, others did not. Regardless, the trauma is life-changing and affects all areas of life and the entire family. Whether someone is facing divorce, going through one, or it has been some time since it was final, the pain can still linger and the scars can still hurt. . . even after years. Rose walks the audience through the steps to true healing, from "taking your emotional temperature" to "emotional surgery" where a new heart can be yours. (Rose offers Divorce Rx locally in 10-week sessions or a day workshop; go to the calendar of events for more information).

A Mother's LOVE
Haivng "The Sex Talk" With Your Mother, The Church

Parents understand how grossly misunderstood they may be when their uneducated, immature (know-it-all!) children rebel. But “You just don’t want me to have fun!” is also a resounding echo in many adult Catholic hearts when it comes to the Church’s teachings on sexual morality. If people knew what their “mother” really taught--not the myths, misunderstandings, and lies--they would never resist or reject it. Rose shares the church’s teachings as lovingly and bluntly as a mom preparing her son or daughter for his or her wedding night, including four simple steps to make sure that love is real.

LOVE . . . or Lust?
A Quick Way to Tell

Women often complain that men are all about lust, but that’s just half of the story. Most women are unaware of the ways they lust . . . after money, pleasure, comforts, food, security, power, position, sex, shoes, jewelry, and even the affection of their children. Drawing from principles found in John Paul II’s revolutionary works on authentic love and its counterfeit ( lust) Rose also shares her own painful stories of women’s lusts, including her own. This presentation helps men and women recognize the feminine genuis that must be restored in women's hearts so that their love is love . . . not lust.

Baby Doll LOVE
A Mother/ Daughter Reteat

No woman ever forgets her childhood dolls, and Rose is no exception. The God who loves us and wants to win our hearts has, over history, called out to and commanded us in ways we never expect: heavenly angels, Moses' burning bush, Balaam's ass, and for some of us... even Mattel's baby doll, "Tiny Tears". For little girls and big girls alike, this light, fun message also packs a powerful punch about our relationship with God. Perfect for mother-daughter luncheons or women's retreats: laugh and cry, be encouraged and inspired to deeper levels of love for God and his church.
