Inspirational Speaker

Rose is a Catholic author and motivational speaker whose messages offer real solutions for people with real problems, based on the spiritual treasures found in the Church. As a former "Cafeteria Catholic", Rose realized the inevitable pain and problems that come with picking and choosing a personally directed faith. Today Rose has given her heart to first living out her life and then to teaching in accordance with the rich deposit of faith protected by the Church for over 2,000 years.

"I'm determined with God's grace to keep moving move toward authentic holiness in all of life's daily details. Holiness is not dry, dull or boring. Far from it! It is both quiet and it screams out; it kneels in the pew and it dances on the tabletops. It is both gentle and intensely fierce; it is tame and wonderfully wild at the same time. We need to open ourselves up more each day so God's love can infuse us with the grace to know when it's time for Cana, or time for the Cross," Rose says. Relationship issues and helping others get over past hurts are her passion, as you will see by her topics on LOVE (based on Theology of the Body).

Rose loves to speak to groups as diverse as singles convening at Notre Dame, Catholic women's retreats, teen talks, Mother Teresa's Misisonaries of Charity and even fourth-graders on 'Career Day'. A Woman’s Guide: Healing the Heartbreak of Divorce, was written to help women (and men!) grow past the pain and find the Love of their lives. Based on her personal journey and interviews with the men and women she’s counseled, Rose offers insight to the deepest emotional healing possible. Her accompanying devotional, Healing the Divorced Heart is a perfect pocket-sized prescription. Rose has also written Dear God, Send Me a Soul Mate, with eight steps to finding true love for singles of all ages, divorced, widowed, or never married. Many of her books are available in Spanish or Chinese, and have been translated into other languages as well.

Singles Director

Rose is Director of Sacred Heart Catholic Singles Incorporated (www.SacredHeartCSI.com) in the Palm Springs area of Southern California. Rose often addresses singles groups and has also been a popular keynote speaker at the National Conference of Catholic Singles.

Divorce Recovery Coach

Rose is one of the experts on the "Divorce Care" DVD series in thousands of churches across the country and in other nations around world. While she's not a professional therapist, she does share her experience and wisdom with those who need someone to listen and offer some spiritual direction. She's been featured on national radio and television shows, including NBC's daytime talk show, "The Other Half" and James Robison's "Life Today" with her insight and experience as a first wife,second wife, adoptive mother, stepmom and post-divorce single woman. Only by the grace of God has she experienced and overcome childhood trauma, infertility and the pain of divorce. Rose understands firsthand the challenges of marriage, divorce, remarriage, parenting, adoption, blended families, singlehood, dating and even how to get long with those pesky people at the office. She especially loves to share the principles of masculine and feminine complimentarity and how they play out in our natural temperaments, affecting all our relationships. Rose reminds those who struggle with broken relationships, "Everything we seek from others should remind us that at the root of each desire is really the heart's longing for God. Pre Cana Facilitator

Annulment Advocate (Diocese of San Bernardino, CA)

The annulment process is often misunderstood by many Catholics and non-Catholics alike. Rose assists divorced men and women who seek a Catholic Church "Decree of Nullity" (different than a civil annulment . . . and NOT a "Catholic Divorce") to find healing, growth, maturity and mercy in the process.    With every divorce comes deep heart wounds; annulment is the process where our Mother Church lovingly and skillfully tends to those wounds and prepares the heart for the love that was meant to be ours. The church does not dissolve marriage, but looks to see if the union was ever able—from the beginning—to rise to the level of a sacrament, one that images the faithful and permanent love that Christ has for His Bride, the Church (us!). The process is one that both honors the sacredness of the marriage bond and recognizes the frailty of the human heart.  

Something of a Party Girl

Okay, I admit it...it's true! I like to party: friends who make me laugh, music, dancing, great food, good stories (even if they are gross exaggerations!) and of course some ice cold margaritas (on the rocks, of course, my favorite). I don't really go for "chick flicks" and instead prefer mystery movies, adventures and thrillers.  I've been Jazzercising since the 1980's, although at my age it's most probable benefit will be to help keep me from breaking a hip.  I like a clean house but don't look in the trunk of my car.  I live in the dry, sunny desert but love short trips to the beach.  Camping: NO! Comfortable hotels: YES! Naps? love 'em. Good books? Anything by all my favorite Catholic apologists and theologians. I adore kids but am annoyed with over-indulgent parents. Other irritations are excess passivity in people and really bad driving. But I am trying to work on a better attitiude :) The older I get the more I hate high drama and crave silence. I get to confession (about) monthly and find myself repeating the same old sins, but I am okay to be in good company with St. Paul. I refuse to buy into the cultural lies but I also will never be a "church lady".  Intense talks about life stir me but I must some up for air after awhile.  It's a huge blessing to be Catholic as I discover more and more riches the church has for her children. God has blessed me, too, with a wonderful Spiritual Director who knows all my sins! I love being a woman and being able to bring feminine gifts and beauty to the world. I adore men of all ages and despite past wounds have always seen them as God's gift. See's dark chocolate with nuts and chews are my temptation. Quiet times in front of the tabernacle are my joy.
